Meet The Instructors

Caleb

  • Caleb Kynard grew up playing basketball, eventually competing at the Division II level and later coaching the game. In 2023, he discovered pickleball and immediately fell in love with it. Since then, he has been training and competing with the goal of turning professional in the APP or PPA.

Caleb has already built an impressive tournament record, earning a 5.0 gold medal at the 2025 Arnold Classic, a 5.0 silver at the Hope College Thanksgiving Tournament, a 4.5 silver at APA Ohio, and a 4.0 silver at the Glass City Invitational. Locally, he has collected multiple medals, including silver at the fourth Glass City Pickleball Association Tournament.

With a DUPR of 4.6 after just two years of play, Caleb is eager to help others grow in the game. Off the court, he enjoys playing chess—crediting it with sharpening his strategic thinking—and creating pickleball content on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube (@CalebKynard).

Jeannie

  • Jeannie Padgett has been playing for 4 years and can’t get enough of the game!

She’s advanced to a 3.95 in a short time and is happy to introduce beginners to the fun of the game and take intermediate players to the next level.

Jeff

  • Jeff Wilson has played ~9 yrs and has been teaching throughout. He is a member of 4 clubs.

He has customized his lessons and has been teaching several times a week all of 2025.

He has won and medaled in the top 3 in over 30 tournaments as well as played tennis and racquetball.

He can customize his lessons to your needs. He is an avid listener  so tell him what your goal is and he'll get you there.

Bill

  • Bill Devault is a dedicated pickleball coach and player with a deep passion for the sport that keeps growing every day.

Before diving into pickleball, he competed as a semi-pro beach volleyball player, which gave him a strong foundation in court awareness, athleticism, and competitive drive. He transitioned to pickleball and has been fully immersed in it for the past three years.

In the fall of 2024, Bill earned his IPTPA certification (International Pickleball Teaching Professional Association), qualifying him to coach players with proven techniques, strategy, and stroke development.

Since then, he's coached more than 40 students, helping beginners build confidence and advanced players sharpen their game. His students consistently praise Bill's enthusiasm, patience, and genuine love for teaching the sport.

On the court, Bill has achieved a 4.5 DUPR rating (a strong advanced level, reflecting consistent high performance in competitive play). He's won 7 medals in tournaments, showcasing his ability to compete against top talent.

Beyond playing and coaching, Bill is heavily involved in the local pickleball community. Together with his son Cam, they run a respected local tournament that draws the area's best players as well as top competitors from across the Midwest.

Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your game to the next level, Bill would love to help you discover (or rediscover) the joy of pickleball!
